Awesome brand new aftermarket bucket seat!!
Love these seats!!!!! I bought the pair of these seats for my 79 Trans AM with camel(tan) interior. Though they are lighter than the factory color they damn near match the factory pattern. As I am doing a complete resto I will paint the rest of the interior to match the seats. The bolsters on the seat and rib area squeeze you right in like a glove and Im about 6'1" and 180lbs. They vynil is soft and the side folding hinge comes with a black plastic cover which I will also paint. The seat also comes with the a pair of sliding tracks that mount to the underside of the seat which for factory buckets start around 100$ for one track! Usually in the area of 300$ for a pair from GM. This value alone is worth the price of the seat. You do have to buy your own seat mounts that the slider tracks bolt onto. These you buy according to your own make and model from SCAT industries available on Amazon or Summit/Jegs etc.. The seats also have a back map pocket sewn in. The whole back of the seat is soft vynil with no plastic seat back to bother with. These seats are gorgeous and are totally worth the price. Any interior shop can match the vynil and have a matching rear/backseat cover made to fit your car which can cost around 500$. On popular models like Camaro's, Chevelles etc., matching seat covers are available through SCAT so you dont even have to have one made, buy the pre made one to match your bucket pattern. The cost after foam, seat covers, trim, buttons and odds and ends can easily cost you 2000$ with labor to rebuild a set of factory seats. This is a great alternative for a cost effective, modern, new seat in your own car if your not doing a concours correct resto. They even come in different colors!!!!!! You just can't lose with a set of these buckets!!!

Amazing seats - period correct for muscle cars
Keith really covered all the important stuff in his review and I fully agree with everything he said. I too am installing in a Trans Am, but a year earlier and a Smokey and the Bandit clone. I've converted to a tan interior with darker brown carpet and these look fantastic. Will post pics. I was concerned about losing the "stock" seats and when back and forth between rebuilding and recovering with stock materials and going aftermarket. I went and visited these folks in Redondo Beach and sat on all the seats and met the staff at Procar / Scat. They were excellent to work with and their service has been outstanding. I did purchase the Procar seat mounts and they are just okay - the fit is not perfect and they are a bit high but better than making brackets myself. I may end up doing that at some point anyway. Highly recommended all around.
