HammeriteUltima Matt Metal Paint - 750ml - Dark Grey

I tried this paint on a rusty satellite dish. So far so good, no sign of any rust coming through. Only time will tell as to the longevity of the finish but it looks good at the moment. Would be ideal for rusty wrought iron gates.

Many other companies are claiming they are better than this product, Hammerite paint …. There is no comparison, it is so expensive because it works!! It does what it says, Wax oil is the same company now, if you settle for less or pay more you are not doing yourself justice, I purchased this to paint new galvanised sills on my car ( my car is metalic) I dont car <- pun intended. that people see I have hammeritted my sills , once they have had 3-4 coats I will let the paint go hard, sand it down, use blocker primer and spray them then gloss them,Buy cheap for a repair and that’t all you’ll have, Ive welded ball protectors at Hong Kong Cricket club, the steel installed on the frames are over 20 years old and under hammerite there is no rust, also hammerite likes a bit of rust …. Have you tried painting it on to new metal ? Hammerite is only second to the lighter 🤘🏼There is no better paint

I used this to paint a steel girder that was red oxide painted. Two coats did the job. Great steel grey colour and has made a real feature in the room

I like that it is water based and you can wash your brushes. Easy to use but better with 2 coats.
