JENOLITE Garage & Exterior Door Paint - Brown - 1 Litre - Suitable for Metal & Wood Doors & Garage Doors (RAL 8017)

Covers really well, having a deeply stained wooden door for the last 10 years we decided to paint it and freshen up.First lightly sanded down and filled the small dents and scratches of age, then 2 coats of cheap white undercoat to start with, light sanding again and left for 2 days to dry.First coat of Jenolite went on easily with a brush and covered very well, sanded down again with a sanding mouse to flatten the imperfections, second coat was using a brush around the beading and small foam roller on the flat, do not over brush as it dries quickly, left for a day and a 3rd light coating to give a smooth flat finish and left it overnight, brassware fitted and all finished. The paint goes on easily and dries very quickly, good coverage as I used less than a 1/4 of the tin for 3 coats, finish it satin/Matt with no brush marks, colour darkens slightly as it dries, nice overall appearance, recommend to all for lovely transformation of our old boring front door.

This paint is easy to apply and the coverage is good. I used one coat and then only had to touch up a few small areas that I’d painted badly first time around. I would recommend using a foam brush or roller rather than a traditional paint brush as the brush strokes are visible on mine.My door is standing up to the current wet weather very well and rain is just running straight off.I would definitely use this again.

So far love this paint, YES it’s smelly (4*) I’m buying a better mask I must have a sensitive nose. BUT it’s runny so don’t overload brush, goes on a treat but do long strokes, dries quick. 1 litre tin I’m thinking will this do all my 7 windows and I think it will. The colour (brown) dries darker but my frames (reddy brown) I’m really pleased it looks like a new frame. I did the usual clean and light sanding , didn’t do undercoat. Rain test this week it runs off 👍 would buy again, if it lasts a long time then the price is right. Tin intact on delivery, bagged and boxed no issues.

Excellent paint - used it about a year ago - no signs of fading or cracking. Good investment

Better coverage than expected. Easy to apply but watch for runs in internal corners.

Easy to use

This stuff is like tar! It smells deadly and honestly would recommend a mask and to only use in well ventilated areas. 30 mins working with this and my throat was a little sore.It works so well though! I am using it to do my weatherboards, porch front, drainpipes, gutters and garage and so far it works great on them all. Really recommend this product, although take precautions is using it.Update......After painting my garage its obvious that getting a non patchy finish is near impossible. 2 coats done and some bits have dried matt, while others shiny and I just cant work out why. It bothers me a lot on the garage to the point that I might need to buy something else to do it again.

Good quality paint. Dor painted gets sun most of the day and hopefully this paint will not fade too quickly. Love the colour.
