I Have a video camera for holiday, vacation, and lifes memories. This enables us to watch all films on the TV. Works really good and love the remote.

I picked this up to watch old home videos on usb. I'd read on other reviews that a firmware update may be needed but this one came with the latest firmware already installed and read the usb right out of the box, so no complaint there. I gave it 4 stars because the remote sensor seems a bit weak, it needs to be pointed RIGHT AT THE SENSOR to work which is a bummer as I was originally planning to place the reader behind the tv(and out of sight)but it's small enough so that I can place it under the tv to still use it. Overall, I'm satisfied with it, especially since it was under $20.

Nice unit to watch home movies, digital downloads, create a digital photo slideshow, or even listen to music on any TV with an HDMI port. I took some home movies and saved media from my computer, put the files on a USB thumb drive and showed them to my family on the TV because squinting at my 15" laptop screen wasn't ideal. I will be buying another one for my church when we get a large screen TV for our sanctuary to replace our 15 year old projector. The remote is easy to use and there is no setup. Uses USB for storage or Smart media up to 8 Terabytes.

Needed something to replace my old IncrediSonic media player. This particular product was a disappointment from start to finish.

There are lots of these types of devices for sale. This one works. It has a great interface and plays all my video and audio files. There is even a real website with a firmware update that loaded flawlessly. I purchased this one renewed but it looks new to me. The remote is great.

This thing is definitely the least expensive "out there" (that I could find) but it has two major drawbacks--and one is close to a "deal breaker." Firstly, it doesn't seamlessly loop videos. There's a black drop-out (gap) in the loop. (The not great work-around there is to loop the video yourself, and create a huge file...which will still have a drop every 30-60 minutes.) The "deal breaker" problem is that, when powered off, it does not automatically resume playing the video. I have to step through 4-5 menu items to get me back. That's a problem in a system that I want to have automated! Bummer! 'looks like the $130 units are where one has to go to get full automation.***HEADS UP! Make sure your videos are not only under 10mbps but have a bit depth of 8 (not 10) or else you will get NO PLAYBACK and wonder what's gone wrong! (This is likely for people who create their own videos.)

I took other's review and did a firmware update after getting the unit. It works great so far and does not have any problems.

Bought this based on reviews stating it played media files from usb flash drives and hard drives. Don't know if mine is defective, but the only time it recognized anything, it offered to format the drive and erase all my files. Not impressed. So, after hours researching, I found the answer in another review: DL firmware update. Fortunately I had an sd card for the update otherwise I'd be SOL (won't recognize USB until update installed). All this plus the slooowwwww shipping I'm leaving 2 stars.
