Q: Is it preservative free?

NO is is not. According to the website it has a patented optimised preservative system which kills harmful organisms and minimises ocular irritation. Unless you are allergic to preservatives then this is excellent for contact lens cleaning and I have been using for years withour any harmful effects.

Q: Do you have to rinse before wearing after a nights soak? Also if I need to take the lenses out because of dirt do I use the disinfectant to rinse.

No need to rinse after storing in soaking solution, just pop in. Use soaking solution as wetting/disinfecting agent if you need to take out in the day.

Q: Can any recent buyers tell me the expiry date please?

I’ve recently purchased a multipack of protein cleaner and soaking solutions and the bottles have a reference to dates as 2024-07 for the soaking solution and 2023-07 for the cleaner (it’s a smaller bottle so will get used quicker). I’ve ordered several multipacks over the last few years and never reach the expiry date. David

Hi Spike. The expiry date is on the left side of the box. The opposite side to where the bar code is. There is a code on my box its MH2827. And underneath that code is the expiry date. Hope this helps. David

Am delighted with Boston Advance contact lenses solutions. Have tried many others but these are definitely the best cleaner and conditioning solution for the hard gas permeable lenses that I wear. Thoroughly recommend these solutions. Bought in the 3 month pack they are better value.

Best RGP Fluids on the market

Without a doubt the Boston brand is the best for RGP lenses. I have been using it for years and would not change. Cleans well and leaves lenses comfortable. I have been wearing rigid lenses now for over 60 years!
