Use these daily. Works on multiple different style of cars from German to Japanese to domestic they are a great set. Haven’t had one break in me or come close to it.

I was searching for a swivel Spark Plug Socket that could be used in a small to medium tight space such as my 2015 Dodge Charger R/T 5.7L engine bay. Anyone who has done their own maintenance on these cars and their sister car the Challenger, knows that the the "normal" 3/8 spark plug socket extension is either too long or too short. However, there is always a "Goldilock" tool that just makes any Garage DIY'er happy. And this tool just helped me add a new friend to the tool collection.This tool is sturdy, built/made well took a 3 1/2 foot drop from my clumsy hand. The magnetic end and swivel socket is truly a game changer. Also this fit well into my 3/8 Torque Wrench with no looseness or play. So as I used this, it magnetized my standard passenger/suv spark plug, held it place and came right out. I also question some of the pics that was submitted as review because some of those plugs look too long for the socket or they were using the wrong socket and bought this tool because of the 'Magnet". Lastly, some say that the socket is too short and don't fit over the plug. These DIY'er just didn't do any research and went by pics. If you look at those submitted pics and the socke they are using really closely they are using it wrong.If i had to make a comparison for the price budgeted, conscience minded folks, this holds up well to Harbor Freight products both in quality and pricing. Competitively.But if you are that Garage DIY'er that needs name brand product to be shown at all times in your garage, love to show it off to your friends but won't you won't let them touch or use your tools and you can afford it. Well that is you and you do you.But as I have mentioned, for the Garage DIY'er that needs a good alternative pricing tool, holds up well with the name brands while in use and you allow your friends to touch & use your tools cause they are helping you. Well this tool is for you and your friends!As a suggested tip, go to the Auto store, Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight etc and see what it will cost you individually. At this Amazon alternative pricing. You can't go wrong, unless you are using and doing it wrong.Good Luck.

Awesome tool, great addition to my tool set. Comes in handy never have to worry about socket getting stuck in spark plug hole.

Shortly after getting these three years ago, the magnet broke on one of the sockets while inserting it onto a spark plug. The magnet is shaped like a thick washer, and it broke across the hole in the middle. The magnet material is very brittle. Perhaps protective coating or plating such as that commonly seen on neodymium magnets should have been used.UPDATE:I found magnetic shards sticking to several spark plugs during inspection. I am not a fan of metallic ceramic chunks of metal hanging around anywhere near the spark plug hole. Rating dropped from 2 stars to 1 star.Verdict:While they are nice when they work (thus the two star rating), I now tend to use my other more reliable spark plug sockets...the ones with the rubber rings.

When I first used these I thought they were great. But on the final (8th) plug, it didn't come out with the socket. I used the short version with an extension and pulled it out. By the time I installed all the plugs, that one wasn't holding them in either. The magnets failed. Don't know where they went. Did another size 6 banger and that socket didn't make it either. I'm looking for another brand.
