Basic audio mixing is trivial compared to even a retail PC's capabilities. Most audio "just works" so it is not necessarily simple to tell if any of the mixing is happening in a specific audio device, because if it is working then who would go looking? It shows up on my usb bus as ID 0d8c:0102 C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM106 Like Sound Device. A raw readout using lsusb shows it advertises some mixer capabilities, but that doesn't prove anything. I do know that it works with several linux distributions just fine, I use it to pull in audio from spdif devices. The best advice I can think of is if the Amazon listing says you can return it, then just buy it and test it. If it does not work then return it. Amazon has always honored their return policy with me.

The only "button" (light) that blinks on mine is the blue light and only when there is sound being played. When there is no audio, the blue light is steady on whenever the computer is on.

Great product for money.

Great product for the price. Although doesn't fully install automatically, you need to install proper driver from disk (supplied) and reboot before line in etc work. Very happy with the flexibility of this unit.

No good I had to return

I am unsure if the item was defective or incompatible with Windows 11. The software installed OK but try as I might there was no sound output. I am in the process of returning but as it came from Amazon in Europe that has not been easy and 2 weeks later it has not arrived back in Slovakia.
