These tires have very stiff sidewalls which indicates resistance to side punctures. That is what destryed one of my old tires that came with the mower. Their sidewalls were really flimsy.The lugs ensure great traction. I have 2 ditches that I mow and the old tires would just spin if I tried t exit the ditches at too steep an angle. Not anymore!You should not put these tires on a zero turn radius mower since they would really tear up you lawn when you pivot turn the mower. The are perfect for my lawn tractor.
