For shoes the length of the bristles and total length of the brush are ideal. The bristles are neither too soft nor stiff. A longer bristle may be better for high top western or dress boots. However this brush will work fine. I have many pairs of cloth running/walking shoes I keep brushed off with this one. I do not put good shoes in the washer to ruin them. Moreover, this brush will work fine for leather shoes to brush after applying shoe-polish or creme/cream. I have had many brushes over many decades.

Be aware, mine has seen very little use, and is shedding bristles quickly. It works, but disappointing.

This is the one item that did come as part of my shoe care kit, so I had to get it seperately. This is a well made brush made from traditional materials, to give a quality, traditional result.

Very fine soft brush great for nubuck and suede or any other shoe. Gets most the dirt off the shoe just by a light brush. I’m happy.

This is a quality item but not travel size. Happy with the purchase.

When I first used this, hair flew all over the place. I was sure I was going to return this. But I had already applied wax on my shoes, so I finished polishing them. By the time I was done the second pair of shoes, it wasn't shedding hair anymore (even though I now had a decent pile on the floor).So after it's first shedding, it now seems acceptable and rarely looses hair. It is obviously not the quality of a Kiwi brush, but for the price difference, I can live with it.

This product is really really poor quality. The bristles started falling out immediately and would not stop. At first I assumed it had to be worked in and stayed patient, but after several days of use I’ve given up. The hairs will not stop falling out and I assume they will all be gone within weeks. Ridiculous. Product should be delisted from Amazon until they fix the design and/or quality issue. Returning this. Perhaps the black one is more durable, I have no idea, but definitely stay away from the white version.
