I’ve been using the Caron & Doucet Cast Iron Soap and Oil for my cast iron skillet, and I’m very happy with the results. I'm new to using cast iron. I was excited to see that there are products for cleaning and oiling. I am using your products every day.

I recently purchased a cast iron skillet from Amazon & saw the ad for the Caron soap and oil recommended for cast iron, so I purchased the set offered. I just used my skillet to cook a pound of bacon and then waited for the skillet to cool down so I could wash it. I found the soap product not as effective as I needed it to be. The directions said to use a teaspoon of soap and hot water which I did but it wasn't getting rid of the grease at all. I used a teaspoon of the soap TWO MORE TIMES but it just didn't work very well. I ended up using a bit of Dawn and hot water and that did the trick.I found the Caron oil to be very effective in preparing the skillet for the next time. I followed the directions on the bottle and it worked like a charm.I definitely recommend the oil, but not the soap. I will continue to use the soap since I've already purchased it and if I find that it works cleaning the skillet after cooking other food, I will let you know.

I would give it 6 stars if I could!!! My cast iron skillet was looking not so great so I bought this soap and a chainmail sponge to see if it would help. Let me say this soap absolutely transformed my cast iron. I will be using this all the time.

Product arrived packaged in an interior box that contained the bottle of cleaning soap and bottle of oil. They were nicely packaged in a box that is suitable for storage after use. I used the soap as directed to clean my old, worn, and partially rusted cast iron skillet. It was amazing to see how it cleansed and restored the skillet. It removed all the old build up and rusty areas. I used the seasoning oil as directed with a few drops and rubbing the skillet looked better than new.Product gets 5 stars!
