I bought this for when I gave birth. I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the truth is it worked really well and was surprisingly effective. I held it in the palm of my hand and squeezed it during contractions — it distracted me because of the slight discomfort it caused, which actually helped take my mind off the pain. I ended up using it the whole way through my labour. For the price, it’s definitely good value and it worked for me.

i used this to get through a very painful medical procedure and i have to say it was pretty good!! although i could still feel everything, it definitely provided a distraction and given im always squeezing something when i have to go through my catheter changes i think it did help. will continue using

Good quality birthing combs. Reason for 4 stars is that I was under the impression there would be a pair but only 1 came. I flagged this up and they refunded me which I then used the money to order another one - so that made it all ok. Unfortunately didn’t end up using them as I ended up with an emergency c-section but in saying this they were very well made.

This is a good quality comb and if used as a comb I would be happy. However, I used this for labour as recommended and this didn't help with pain. I realise this will be based on individual experiences however you could buy a normal comb that isn't classed as 'labour/birthing comb' at the fraction of the price.
