Perfect adapter for a 1/2" bulkhead on my evaporative cooler. Enables a 1/4" plastic style water line be used. The huge advantage of these push lock fittings is you don't need a compression sleeve and ferrule which are prone to leaking. These allow you to remove the water line and re insert it without a new compression sleeve every time. Perfect for a portable swamp cooler. No local hardware stores had these.

This products description is misleading. It will not fit 3/4 inch outdoor faucets or garden hoses without additional adapters, and those alone require more money to be spent, which is undesirable.
