A Captivating Read
I looked forward to reading this well written book. It did not disappoint. I felt I got to know Huma and her family. I liked her tremendously and I admired her tenacity in sticking with the marriage until it was just not viable. The one complaint is that by part four of the book, I did not want to read any more about her travels to the different states in the course of her job.

She cant write, much of this book is incredibly dull
Abedin has had two extraordinary relationships. I wanted to know more about her close relationship with Hillary Clinton and about her marriage to the appalling Wiener. I skim read through her early life, just enough to know about her background . She writes in a wooden and cliched style. When she writes about her work with Clinton, she sounds like an earnest schoolgirl with a crush on the games mistress. She has nothing insightful or interesting to say about the Hillary as First Lady, Senator or Presidential candidate. She appears to be dutiful and hard working and to have had a loving and secure childhood with educated parents. I wanted to understand how she could be manipulated by a man like Wiener. My conclusion was that she was dreadfully naive . Unfortunately that does not make her or her writing interesting.
