On the tenth day, the water made me sick to my stomach.
Summary: (Doulton Slimline Ceramic OBE filter)1) It increased TDS (total disolved solids) from 4 to 16.2) It's water tasted fresh for about a week.3) After 10 days, the water made me sick to my stomach.Other miscellaneous issues:1) The black compression rings at top and bottom smelled horrible on day one and on day ten, right before I returned the unit.2) The original box this ceramic filter was packaged in was for another type of filter, the ceramic candle--not the OBE. Someone put a sticker on top that read OBE. Inside the box, the ceramic filter itself was not sealed.Initially, the water passing through this filter was great. I even called up family raving about how this ceramic filter made the water taste like it just came up from an underground aquifer. The first problem I noticed showed up on my TDS meter. The water before the filter, coming from the reverse osmosis unit, was 4 TDS, after this ceramic filter, it was 16 TDS. If I ran the water for ten minutes, the TDS reading would drop to around 6 or 7. Every morning was the same, starting at 16 TDS. After doing this for seven days, the TDS would start at 7. This was not a big issue. On the tenth day, the water had more of a smooth creamy texture to it. I thought this was normal. Shortly after drinking a cup of this water I felt physically sick to my stomach. After draining the holding tank, I opened the filter housing and examined the ceramic filter. The inner chamber, which contained the filtered water, had, to my surprise, many particles floating in it. Why those particles didn't get flushed out, I don't know. Maybe they were too heavy. I dumped the water and rinsed the ceramic filter and the filter housing. The next morning, after drinking another cup of this ceramic filtered water, I felt sick again. I pulled the tubing out, bypassing the ceramic filter, and filled up a glass of water. This water (before the ceramic) tasted fresh and pure, and had a TDS reading of 4. I immediately started the return process with Amazon.

Improves Water Taste and Quality
We've used this along with the KDF/GAC filter as part of our undercounter filtration system. Very reliable and makes our water taste better.

It broke in few days but i never contacted seller
This broke in the canister in few days when I opened to check on it. I have not contacted the seller because I know ceramic is fragile. The interesting thing is that it improved the taste of water even when the ceramic broke. Customers should know that ceramic cartridges are fragile and no one to blame.

Great Buy!
This is an excellent general purpose filter. This really improves the taste of your water. It does an extremely good job at removing the sediment from your water. You can clean this filter with a Scotch guard pad up to 50 times.
