TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!!
I love it!!! I truly love the Eufy Security System more than RING or Bing. The lock makes a cute little "DING" whenever you lock/unlock the door. Has a one-click system you can use to lock the door. The indoor screen is perfect for FL hurricane doors since you can't install a peep-hole, with a click of a button you can view outside if you don't have your phone nearby to check the app. I had the original one and had some issues while using it but this one works as smooth as butter! The Palm Reader is so convenient when my hands are full of groceries I no longer have to struggle to use the fingerprint scanner like I did on the old model. BUY IT! You won't regret it I promise!

Unreliable
I was excited when this was announced, but it’s been a frustrating experience. The installation was straightforward, but it’s extremely unreliable. It stays offline most of the time. Palm reader is a hit or miss. Only thing that works properly is the key code. If I wanted that, there are a ton of options. Notifications are also either missed or so delayed, it makes this useless. Asked customer service for help, but they have not been able to help at all. No other device in the home is so flaky.

No HomeKit*
The lock does not work with Apple HomeKit if you pair it to your HomeBase. Kinda false advertising as that is why I bought it.

Cool looking, works well for me.
This is an early review after a week of having it installed. Installation was easy, definitely on par with the Schlage Encode Plus. It seems to be working correctly so far (my wife struggles with a palm vein unlocking, but I blame her). Image quality is good, with a very wide view both top/bottom and left/right. I see other review complaining about 2.4Ghz WiFi, but that seems to be the standard for most of security devices - I had to set-up a separate network before for my Simplisafe. I have no issues with streaming my security 2K/3K videos over 2.4Ghz. I prefer to use Eufy app over Homekit, as I find Homekit functions very limited for most of the devices - plus all my external security cameras are Eufy as well.

Great lock overall, especially if you have a good use case for all its features.
The media could not be loaded. I was very excited about this lock and it mostly lives up to expectations. It does what its advertised to do and it does it well. Once you know where to place your palm, it's easy to always get it right the first time and have the door unlock quickly. The palm vein unlock method itself is very cool and will make you feel like you're living in the future and should be a fun thing to show off to others at first too.The camera also does a good job for those who want a 2 in 1 combo or don't want to replace their old dumb doorbell. I won't be using the video doorbell feature for monitoring because I already have a video doorbell though. But I still wanted it because my parents stay with me sometimes and I don't have windows near the front door or a peep hole so the screen on the inside is a very useful feature for them so they can see who is at the door without having to open it. So for anybody in my position with elderly or kids, I think the version with the screen can be very useful to have.As for my dislikes. Two things stick out to me. First is that the lock motor is slow. Some new locks have much faster motors to turn the deadbolt nowadays. The Eufy on the other hand still uses a very slow one. Not a big deal, but it's a minor annoyance because I would like to see progress. The other is that the lock won't give you an option to turn on the interior screen automatically whether it senses motion or someone rings the doorbell. I know this was probably done intentionally to save battery. But they should give us to the option to have the screen turn on with one method or another so we can already see who is there when we approach the door.Other than that I am a Home Assistant user and integrated this lock into HA using Matter over WiFi. Only the lock and battery is exposed. You won't be able to expose the camera stream over Matter though. But for those that use Google Home or Alexa, the live stream is available. Control is fast(around ~1.5 seconds) but won't feel instant. That's just a minor nitpick on my part since I want everything to be as fast as turning on and off a light lol. I've had no issues like random disconnects so far. But it has only been a day so we'll see. Same goes for the battery life. No idea again since it has only been a day.All that being said I think it's still deserving of a perfect score because the main features of this lock are executed pretty well. I have a few nitpicks with it but I don't think it should be knocked down because of that. Compared to what is available right now, it's pretty much one of a kind with all that it has to offer. Just be sure that you want all these features because there are definitely cheaper options out there if you only want a palm lock or a lock/video doorbell combo. But for those that want it all, I think this is our only option and I can at least say that it does it well.

Very easy install.
The instructions say it takes 15 minutes to install, but it took half that time.

This is not currently a suitable HomeKit solution.
TLDR: You need a 2.4Ghz network with WPA2 or this device won’t connect. Matter/Homekit is limited to the door lock-only. The doorbell functionality (excluding chime) is limited to the Eufy app. The doorbell chime is limited to Amazon Alexa devices. This lock is only suitable if you rely on the Eufy app.I got the new Familiock S3 Max because of its promise to work with HomeKit. There are so many issues with this device starting with the fact that it requires a very basic, separate 2.4ghz network. This device would not connect if all bands were combined (WiFi 7 —2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and 6Ghz under one SSID) forcing me to change the setup of my router. After many attempts on my new 2.4Ghz-only network, it finally connected. However, only the door lock works via matter and HomeKit. The doorbell and all of its associated functions are locked behind the Eufy app. Even worse, if you want a doorbell chime, it’s locked to Amazon Alexa devices. There is no work with HomeKit badge on the packaging, only a slight statement that this device works with HomeKit. Avoid if you’re looking for a HomeKit solution - this is not currently it.
