Size:915mm x 45mm This new door draft excluder is marvellous. It is fitted in seconds by simply sliding it onto the bottom of any standard interior door and really does keep warmth in and cold draughts out. The special design means that it can adjust itself to fill gaps up to 7mm and to take account of a door opening between a room with a carpet and one with a wooden floor. Also brilliant at keeping insects / spiders out too. A definite help to keep your heating bills down. Did not work for me, split lengthwise.
It looks very good and was the correct size. I needed one for a 45mm door so it looked perfect. It arrived promptly, well packed. However as soon as I tried to cut it to the correct length with a hacksaw it split lengthwise! It does say you can cut it with a craft knife or hacksaw. I found that a craft knife did nothing and the hacksaw left a jagged edge which needed taping over. So a fail for me here.

Brilliant gap filler
Regarding cutting to size I used a very sharp pair of heavy duty scissors and no splitting occurred. Used soft side of velcro strips underneath to form non scratch surface to my laminate floor and to ensure gap was completely sealed used small furniture foot pads along inner groove to prevent strip sliding back up the door . Jobs a good one!

No good for uneven carpeted floor
No good for uneven carpeted floor. It just lifts to the highest point as the door opens and stays up when it is closed leaving a big gap. The brush type works in this situation. Would probably be OK if you have a smooth hard floor. The cost of returning by post was higher than the cost of the item due to the length exceeding 90cm. I received no response to my request for a prepaid label.

Excellent
Fitted perfectly to our fire doors, just spend a bit of time measuring and marking the length you require. It's best to cut with a fine hack saw and finishing with a sanding block.
