So far so good, hope it lasts as well as the first one.
I used this on my nearly 21 year old Generac 4000XL [Sept. 1998]. My original pressure switch lasted over 20 years, but the genset would stop after about 30 sec. or so when I tested it a week plus ago or so. The unit would start up just fine (usually first pull after an initial 2 or 3 pull first start), but would die for no apparent reason. Cleaned the carb., and still no go after 30 sec. after starting fine. Thought I observed a brief flash from the LED oil warning light when looking closely after starting as it shut down, but it doesn't provide a clear indication of 'low pressure.'The old switch was difficult to remove but was able to remove it with a socket wrench from underneath the oil filter with the generator tipped over nearly 45° to prevent oil loss and access to the switch. Could use a short socket [27mm?] by depressing the screw terminal into the housing of the broken unit after removing the two terminal screw bolts. This new switch was installed with a deep well 1 1/16 in. socket .Once this new switch was installed the 4000XL unit works fine and produced an unloaded 121 VAC.There are 2 or 3 on-line (e.g. Youtube) videos outlining the problem though not much detail on the actual replacement.

It appears well built and screwed in easily to the engine and the wire terminal is solid
What can I say, it is a normally closed pressure switch that opens around 8 PSI. It appears well built and screwed in easily to the engine and the wire terminal is solid. The problem I was having was that after 12 years low oil pressure switch on my 4,000 watt Generac standby generator went bad. The engine would faithfully start every time but shut off after about 4 seconds, a typical symptom for a bad low oil pressure switch. This cured the problem.

quick change and fix
perfect match to my portable Generac 7550exltilted the unit at 45 deg angle to not let oil drain out when I pulled the old one, installed the new one and running like new again.

It worked
My generator would run for a few seconds and shut down. Traced it to the oil pressure switch. Replaced it with this on and now it runs great.

Fits and works
Ease of installation in a Generac 4000 XL is the primary plus. Be aware that Generac made the 4000 XL in different configurations over the years. With mine I had to empty the gas tank and tip it on it's side to install the oil pressure switch.

Perfect solution!
This switch was the last thing I needed to get my 19 year old Generac 4000 generator up and running. And not too soon. My grandma lost power during the last hurricane and this kept the lights on and fridge running until the power company got the lines repaired.
