I just started Tunisian crochet. They are exactly as advertised -- a good starter kit. The surface is rougher than my metal hooks especially at the tip of the hooks where you can feel the bamboo fibers. However, I have never had bamboo hooks before so I can't say whether they are any different from other bamboo hooks.

You can't beat this set for the price. I do think I will have to smooth some slight burrs with sandpaper and give them a rub with some beeswax or the like. I gave 4 stars only because my smallest hook has no hook, only perhaps a small crack in the end. I'm assuming it bent up somehow during manufacturing and was not cut. This is not a big deal to me as I have never seen a Tunisian pattern that small yet and haven't a need for it. It really wasn't worth returning it. The length is good, maybe an inch longer than the aluminum ones already own. The case/roll is simply made, if you see it would be easy to make. Given the scarcity of Tunisian hooks at my local stores I am pleased with the set.

I really like these hooks. They are lightweight and really pretty. The only thing I don't like is that the back ends doesn't come undone to connect an extender (unless I'm wrong). The little hold is a nice addition. It's a good size and holds the hooks comfortably, but I wish it came in other colors. It's not an issue especially for the price.

Inexpensive and arrived quickly. However you get what you pay for. The hooks need more sanding and catch on my yarn. Also at least one hook was warped and is akward to work it. It will do until I'm ready to buy a note expensive set

These tunision crochet hooks are ok, not the best quality but I wasn't expecting that. I had a few rough spots I needed to file down, lightly, with an emery board. They aren't very slick, but a 'polishing' with wax paper helps that. If you're just learning tunisian or, like me, don't do it often, this set is OK. If you are an avid tunisian stitcher I recommend something of higher quality.

Nice looking needles, however terrible to use. Splitting yarn. Short return window, so now stuck with a product that I cannot use very disappointed

Lightweight, strong wood but light. Makes crocheting pleasurable. Comfortable in hands and case to keep them organized a bonus. Lovely Would recommend

I wish these hooks were longer as Tunisian Hooks but they have a nice warm wood feel, are smooth and seem to be a great buy.
