Occasional re-triggering in mode P6 . Do I have it configured correctly ?

I love most DROX products.I’m using a XY-WJ01 Digital timer. It’s working well, but I have a strange effect.I’m using the timer inMode P6 with OP:600, CL1,LOP:1 .I’m tryign to get the relay to tunr on at power on, stay on for 600 seconds (10 minutes). then turn off, and not repeat until the power is disconnected and reconnected. Most of the time it works perfectly. , I’m seeing that the relay closes correctly at power up , and stays closed for 600 seconds, as desired, The relay then opens.. . usually the relay stays open until the power is disconnected.Sometimes though, after turning off, the timer mysteriously restarts after approximately 10 minutes as if the power had been disconnected and reconnected, though the power has remained on.What could be causing this false triggering ? Do I have the parameters incorrect ? I think they are correct, because most of the time it works exactly as intended. The re-triggering happens only sometimes.I’d appreciate any help !Thanks !-jc

It works but man is it confusing

As others have said the instructions leave a lot to be desired but I can at least share my experience with it.I have an el34 tube amp in may garage that puts out some serious wattage. It’s hooked up to an aiyima t8 Bluetooth/ preamp. When the aiyima shuts down it sends a decent spike to the amp and speakers making a loud speaker destroying pop. I have everything hooked up to a smart plug so everything shuts off at the same time. This isn’t a problem with solid state as much because solid state is on or off unless they have some crazy capacitance. Tube stuff doesn’t shut right down since the tubes are still hot and flowing whatever is left in the capacitors. What I needed was something that would delay the preamp shutdown until the tube amp is completely powered down. There are 9 modes on this thing. What are they? I have no clue the instructions are very poorly translated but you can kind of guess. I can really only speak for mode 8. Mode 8 starts a shutdown timer when voltage is lost at the signal input which is inside the timer box. I’m using a usb power supply for the trigger which would be considered a high signal. So I have it set to mode 8 at 20 seconds. When the usb looses power (connected to the same switch) the timer starts counting down and then opens the relay for the 12v (plugged into constant power) that sends power to the preamp. It works as it should.A few notes. The instructions say when it displays “out” that the relay is open. This is the opposite, the relay is closed when “out” is displayed. There are 2 options for relay status, CL and OP. I believe they mean close and open but I don’t know if they mean normally open or open after the trigger is there. You can change where the decimal point is for the timer by holding one of the buttons which makes it more confusing. There is also no plug for the trigger connections but I found something that worked you could also solder to the pins. I found that reading the instructions to the best of my ability and experimenting worked the best but

Instructions hard to understand

Works as advertised. Used for timing UV curing light. As usual, the Chinese instructions are hard to follow.

timing function works great, trigger connector is light duty

using one for a hundredth of second precision liquid pour operation, energizing a air solenoid thru contacts. easy to set time. terminal for power and contacts light duty but work. trigger of time function either thru switch closure of two contacts or supply voltage to third post. trigger posts use a Connectors Adaptor XH2.54 TJC3 which is really light duty. bought connector kit and assembled connector. if buying timer from manufacturer, you get the connector with short leads. the trigger will probably be the weak link long term. on second timer, using the LOP function, currently set at 3 cycles of closing and opening contacts to cycle. had to latch input to timer on as cycle function resets. a lot of functionality for the low price. will use additional in the future.

Thanks

The media could not be loaded. First, Thank you to all that responded to my question. We have a garden train display at a Nursery that runs for 5 months on a push button. This unit I been testing for a day looks to be the replacement of 3 boards in one. One more day of testing then install. Again Thank you. Set up was good for me. Will be stocking up on more of these. The one I purchased was rated for 10 dc amps.

No cable for trigger

I bought this relay twice because I thought I lost the cable for the trigger the first time. But the second one didn't have one either. You can not use it with out the trigger cable. Not worth buying!

Warning: The now included 3-wire connector is too small and is useless, so you cannot use the device

Updated Review: The timer contains now a 3-wire connector to send the input signal to the device, but the connector is too small and could not be used.I used this device to provide a delay to prevent that all the motor of my appliances(Refrigerator, Freezer, Heat Pump...) starts at the same time after an outage. To do so I needed to select the "High" level trigger mode, but to do so you need to connect the entrysignal to the first pin marked "High" of the connector located on the top left of the printed circuit. But there is no connector cable include and not indication on how to purchase such cable.(I found a left over cable that I had from an other device where a short and a long cable were included).
