Q: How do you take photos with the gopro while using the handler? Seems awkward to have to use your other hand to release shutter button?

I shoot only video with the GoPro. If I want a picture I select a frame from the video.

Q: what is the length of the Item, not the package?

The length of the floater handle is 8” long. I recently used on a Caribbean cruise in August and a weekend trip to a water park with my grandkids. This item works great and keeps the camera afloat. Soft handle makes it easy to hold onto for many hours of use.

Q: Can this be used for scuba diving, if so to what depth

Yes. I bought this and used it strictly for scuba diving. The furthest I went down was 80ft. I imagine it can go further.

Life saver

If you are in and around water, please use this.I was at kata beach, getting a surf lesson, I lost control and fell.The go-pro slipped as I was trying to get back on the board,I looked around for the camera and this was bobbing right next to me.Best Go Pro accessory, I paired it with the diving case becauseI did not want to risk water getting into the GoPro on my holiday.I have the orange rubber case but I prefer the dive case with this grip.
