I have spent some time researching a range of obelisks to use to support climbing plants. I looked at reviews and several were often discounted because of frailty or apparent poor quality and/or difficulty of assembly.Sturdiness: As you can see from my picture, mine (I have two) have been inserted into a plant pot that is slightly smaller than the circumference of the base. As result, the bottom legs bend in a little which makes the whole thing very solid. I don't see why the same would not be true if they are inserted into the ground.Quality: Not particularly strong metal rods but they are not supporting a wall! Perfectly adequate for the job and nicely coated in a black paint. I did not see any rust or missing paint anywhere. The fixing bolts and nuts may rust first and the same may happen to the obelisk over time, but for £9.99 each they can easily be replaced after maybe 5 to 10 years!Assembly: Yes it's a bit tricky and you MUST start from the bottom. Put all the nuts and bolts in finger tight first off all and tighten them up at the end. My wife and I (both pensioners!) had a bit of a giggle putting them together and, yes, the second one took maybe 15 minute whereas the first took a bit longer. From start to positioning in the pots in the garden took no more than an hour. The in box diagram is not totally clear but looking at the box you can see the horizontal "circles" fit OUTSIDE the vertical supports. If you put them inside I suspect the top crowning assembly would not fit very well.All in all we are well pleased and recommend them without reservation.

Relatively easy to assemble, but not that sturdy. I have only assembled one so far, as I am in the process of rearranging my plants. The one I have assembled looks nice, and my plant clips fit it perfectly. I haven't had it long enough to say how durable or weather resistant they are. Pretty good value for money.

Exactly what was needed for a pot based sprawling climbing rose. After bamboo canes have failed to offer a straight upright structure. This self built pack of 2 frames are ideal. East to make by screwdriver. Make the circles first and top. And keep circles on outside. Speedy delivery. See before and after pictures. Great quality makes garden look more professional

The connectors are joined by nut and bolts. The joining bolts are short length so the nuts fixed to the bolts fall off easily (under moderate weather conditions) which makes the joints unstable.

Loved the product. I had a bit of an issue but Customer Service was absolutely fantastic... The obelisks are now in situ and are strong and very pretty.

The only faults I found were: the instructions of assembly weren't step by step and I discovered, having awkwardly struggled with the first one by making up the legs than trying to make them fit the cone, that it was easier to assemble them from the top in four steps one piece at a time, i.e. 1. do the cone first then 2. the four legs that fitted into that then 3. the next four legs and finally 4. the bottom four legs. The other fault was either that some of the holes seemed larger than the bolt heads or the tubes were malleable enough for the holes to distort during tightening the bolts..

Arrived on time was easy to assemble and install in the garden.
