I bought this for the husband because he wants to try and get his electrician license, I did my homework before buying any how two books and this one was top-of-the-line recommended. We just got it. I purchased this book as a guide to help me refresh and prepare myself to take my journeyman's test. Its a good book which i used in tandem with the 2023 NEC. However i realized that the book i was sent 2004-2025 edition is not exactly up to date because the answers for some of the questions are not actually within the NEC. For those that own this book the question on pg 153 asks for general lighting in a dwelling. The answer in book says Article 220.12. That article does not exist and was deleted in the NEC. It is actually Article 220.41. Thr answer is 3VA/ft but it leads you to a place in the book that doesnt exist. Ive noticed it for a lot of questions where i go to refer in the NEC and then check the answer to try to find and see it. Its accurate 90% of the time.

This is a really good book; it helped me prepare for my certification. It has a nice mix of theory and tips on where to find stuff in the NEC. It's cheaper than a lot of other guides, and I got to run tons of exam simulations on the online platform, all included in the price. Definitely worth the money!

I found that section so.helpful. along the way there are plenty of questions to practice with.
