I ordered my son a Puma SGB Hunter's Friend for his 17th Birthday. Carrying Puma knives while hunting is a tradition in my family. My father has a Hunter's Friend he bought in the 70's (Pumaster steel) I cannot tell you how disappointed I was when I unboxed this new version. The antler handle is way to thick. they could have taken 1/4" inch of pith out to make it fit up better. Also they didn't use the washers under the pin rivits. They used 1/8" stock for the blade, not 3/16" like the good ones. Not to mention using 440A instead of 440C. What an awful product to put your name on. I am a semi professional knife maker/bladesmith. I certainly wouldnt have let this out of my shop. let alone put my name on it! It's getting shipped back to the retailer. What a let down!
